Effective Immediately, KSD offices will be closed to the public

The Kennebunk Sewer District’s main office will be closed effective immediately to the public.  Although our employees are still working, we are limiting our public exposure to ensure that we can continue to provide essential services.

We at KSD apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however for the safety of our workers and the public we will be following the guidelines from the Maine CDC and US CDC.

Payment Drop Off
During this virus emergency, you can still drop off your payment in our drop box and we can email or mail you a receipt if requested (just write a note on the envelope).  The drop off box is located at the Administration Building at 44 Water Street.  The picture on the right shows the drop box to the left of the door.

Non-Disposable Wipes and Covid-19
With the onset of Covid-19, we are expecting that there could be an increase in people flushing non-disposable wipes into the sewer. These are not acceptable to flush at any time and are a major cause of pump failure and emergency responses from our staff. Please dispose of all wipes, clothing, towels in the trash and not in the toilet. This will save the District and the ratepayers from expensive service and equipment costs. This is especially critical now as we could be experiencing labor shortages

Public Hearings and Trustee Meetings
KSD will hold the Public Hearing regarding rate setting on Thursday, March 26th at 7:00 PM.  However, we will be limiting attendance in the room to 10 people including the Trustees and staff.  Our regular scheduled meetings on the first Tuesday of each month has not changed at this time.  However, depending on what happens with the COVID-19 crisis this could change.
